Description

Update 31.01.2024:

  • Improved ergonomics: increased the front width of the slots for easier plate insertion. Added signs (circles) for 1,3,5 slots to see faster which slot corresponds in both sides.

 

I was having all my plates all over the place and what i could find already done, were prints of over 40 hours.

So … I did this design which fits my requirements:

  • storage for maximum of 5 plates.
  • ladder layout for easier access to the plates.
  • minimal time to print, no space waste around the printer etc.
  • easy to put together (glue the parts together if you want; 4 parts only). All parts are connected, so it's very stable with minimal material and time use.
  • one plate print.
  • use some anti slip pads under this support, as PLA is sliding easy over the printer glass top. Or print some TPU pads, as you wish.
    I used Anti Scratch Floor Protectors and works perfect.

 

9h:15min , 430 gr of filament. (X1 printer)

 

AMS surface size (lengths between AMS legs on the bottom):

  • width 343 mm
  • depth 257 mm

This is exactly what I was looking for! Indeed, all other AMS plate holder combos are like 36 hour prints that eat up 2KG of filament... for what? This is genius, thanks for sharing. Putting it together is pretty tight but I made it work with some elbow grease. AMS and plates fit perfectly.

Nice print, great fit for everything. AMS needs to be placed at the back of the printer to enable removal of plates in the lower slots - no big deal.

really love the design! as shown in the picture i still need to remove a lot of the brims where the plates slide in🤣 but it adhese so hard to the bed my buildplate was lifting up from the printbed..ductape for the win

Hat super funktioniert. Bei den "Nut-Feder" Verbindungen an den flachen Stellen musste mit einem Gummihammer etwas nachgeholfen werden, Das sitzt sehr fest und hält ohne Kleben. Bei der Steckverbindung ist eine Noppe leicht angebrochen beim testweisen lösen vorm Zusammenkleben.

Hallo! Vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung! Tatsächlich habe ich sie mit geringer Toleranz hergestellt, damit sie auch ohne Kleber halten. Es tut mir leid, dass ich einen Stecker verloren habe. Zum Glück sollte es in Ordnung sein, wenn man sie zusammenklebt, und es macht nichts, wenn man die Stifte abbricht. PS: Ich spreche kein Deutsch, ich habe Google verwendet, daher tut es mir leid, wenn das, was ich gesagt habe, nicht ganz klar ist :)
