Summary
This is a mini bookshelf, intended to help keep a few small books on hand where needed around the house, such as the side of a nightstand. This design elegantly keeps the books in place by resting them at an angle against the mounting surface, keeping the books in sight and easily accessible. Prints without supports and includes a guide to drill screw holes. Requires 3 small screws with a head diameter under 4.5mm and head height under 3.5mm.
Printing
You can conveniently use my print profile to print all the required parts with infill, orientation, and layer height set for you. I printed the Lower Support from Prusa Transparent PLA and the Shelf from Bambu Labs White Matte PLA. Make sure to print the template to help when drilling out the screws.
Installation
Use the Screw Template to drill the holes on the mounting surface. The lip on the template is the same height as the lip on the Shelf, so that may serve as a useful reference for a screw depth that provides adequate friction. Assemble the printed parts as shown on the last image (don't worry if the Lower Support is loose, it will be secure once the Mini Bookshelf is mounted) and slide onto the screws. If the Mini Bookshelf is too loose, simply remove and tighten the screws more.
