Assembly:

  • Glue the ‘Shelves’, ‘Side Left’ and ‘Side Right’ together.
  • You only need to add glue to the very edge of the shelves and then seat them in the slots in each side piece.
  • Once the glue is dry, insert the door through the grooves that are cut in the door channel
  • Ensure the door is in the correct orientation as it slides in from back to front
  • Slide the door all the way round its channel until it meets the stop at the front
  • Insert the 2 small stop pieces to close off the door channel. This is optional as once mounted on the wall, the door handle acts as a stop.

Assembly should take no more than 5 minutes.

 

During assembly you must ensure all edges of the shelves are seated into their corresponding slots. If they are not all the way in then the sliding door will not function correctly.

 

Add some lubricant to the slots that the door slides in, for a smooth motion. I use silicone grease and it works great.

 

Tip: You can make the pod any width you like! - You just need to scale the shelves and the door up or down in Bambu studio.

  • To do this, scale both parts in the X-axis only and ensure the door is always 2.9mm narrower than the shelves.

 

This design is the first version I have made of this concept - If you have any issues or recommendations for edits or additions, please leave a comment or message me! I'm open to constructive feedback to make this as good as it can be :) - It would also be good to add some additional features that users may want to see in the future. I already have some ideas, but would love to hear what you think too!

What are the two "Generic-Cube" parts for? They show as semi-transparent on the Slides and Stops plate in Bambu Studio

A nice shelf to store small printer stuff which is everytime laying around. Perfect print and fit. No problems with the assambly. Shelf and side panels printed in Anthrazit PETG. Door printed in Bambulab PLA.

As long as it's under 45mm diameter and 150mm tall. That's pretty much the largest round object that can fit on 1 shelf. Thanks!

printed easily and fit up well. assembled easily too. slightly smaller than it was in my minds eye but that’s on me having bad skills at visualizing size lol.

I debated making it bigger but it would have stopped people with an A1 Mini being able to print it. I may do a bigger version for a 256x256 bed at some point, if that's something that you would want? Thanks for printing! :)
