BANDOPROOF // SNAP-PROOF // FPV Snap mounting

The SNAP-PROOF System is designed for FPV drone pilots but can naturally be utilized across various applications. Its aim is to enable quick and easy attachment or detachment of equipment (primarily fpv-drones) to be operational as swiftly as possible.

⚠️dont use magnets with FCs that has an onboard Barometer. The magnetic field getting disturbed and leading to bad behaviour when flying!

⚠️Please (!) check before buying the download, if a mounting on your frame would generally possible (see pictures for reference). If in doubt, you can create your own more suitable adapter using the .STEP file and some CAD skills. The adapters typically have a thickness of 3mm, so your bottom plate should be >3mm off the ground (e.g., using skidz). The 20x20 stack adapter has a height of 5mm.

🔩Hardware parts that may be needed:
7x2 magnets (optional)
Rubber band - e.g., hairband (required for the backpack mount)

🧲 Incase you want to use magnets:
The magnets on the stack adapters can be added after the print. The magnets on the mounts do need to be added while printing. Simply let the printer pause at the right higher so you can add the magnet and the printer is closing the hole. Take care of your orientation of the magnets.⚠️ the magnets might negatively affect your FC. Please test and make sure it doesn’t of you use some.

🧶Required filament:
Everything has been tested with PLA. However, other hard filaments are also possible. Printing with TPU is conceivable but has not been tested. See below for suggested print settings.

Tested everything in PLA.
Any other hard filament should also be fine.
TPU might be an option but haven’t been tested.

If you want to use magnets you need to add a pause on the gcode. The printer stops, you imbed the magnet and the printer is closing the hole. 🕳️
