Description

This is a Holder for drying reusable silica gel in a Sunlu S2 Filament Dryer. It is designed for reusable Silica Gel with diameter 2mm-4mm, for example this:

Print 2 Plates, 1 lid and 1 tub.

Assembly:

Both plates are printed with 3 assembly sticks, which fit into the 3 holes on each side of the tub. Take the first plate press the 3 assembly sticks into the 3 tub holes, to combine the pieces. Repeat on the other side. For better stability and fit apply some glue to the contact area of plate and tub.

You also have to glue 4x2mm magnets in to the holes of the lid and the tub.

Version 2 released 02.2024:

Changed the alignment sticks to shorter alignment nubs. The alignment sticks tend to break too easy while assembly. Shorter alignment nubs should prevent breaking.

the alignment pins all broke off. I bet it would be best to change them to little nubs or bumps that don’t break off. also the magnets are very tiny. I understand space is limited. overall a good print.

Used the profile provided, came out perfect! Ordered the magnets, as I didn't have the size for the top, but, it worked perfect printwise! Author also gave good information about the temp required, set at max of 70 degrees, and wait for it to dry.

Hat gut geklappt, allerdings sind mir die dünnen Bolzen abgebrochen, mit Kleber hält aber alles gut zusammen.

Got problems too with breaking of the alignment nubs. But new design version fixed it

Printed in ASA and worked very well. The pins broke off before I could even get it together but Gloop helped fix that. I doubt I'll need to print again, but the suggestion of nubs instead of pins may be a great idea. Thank you for the print.

Couldn't get it printed. Always problems on first layer. It's very delicate and I'm not gonna bother with it.
