Description

UPDATE 4/18/24: Added Australian Silver Kangaroo design and print profile.

This is the single-color filament versions of these tubes. If you're looking for multi-color versions, you can find them here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/185447#profileId-204194

This is a windowed storage tube with a friction lid for the following 1 oz bullion coins enclosed in Air-Tite capsules (no foam insert):

  • American Silver Eagle
  • Canadian Silver Britannia
  • Mexican Silver Libertad
  • British Silver Britannia
  • Chinese Silver Panda
  • Australia Silver Kangaroo

A logo is printed on each lid (Star for American Silver Eagle's, Saint George's Cross for Britannia's, Maple Leaf for, well, Maple Leaf's, Panda for Panda's, Kangaroo for Kangaroo's, and an Aztec Eagle for Libertad's) so you can tell which is which, and there are two sizes for either 10 or 20 coins.

These tubes will fit most other Air-tite enclosed Bullion dollar sizes as well.

The lid will be tight at first, but will loosen up after opening and closing 3 or 4 times.

Dimensions:

  • 50mm x 50mm x 60mm tall (small tube) or 119mm tall (large tube). Inner diameter of 46mm (comfortable for 44.45mm Air-tite capsule width)

Recommended you print with basic PLA or PLA+. Matt PLA adds too much friction to the caps.

If you have requests, would love to create them, so let me know!

Hi would you be able to do one with a kangaroo for the Australian coin?

Why do all of the items on makerworld not have dimensions? I am new to this. Is it that they can be scaled and it doesn't matter?

That's a fine question! I cannot speak for the other model makers, I can only speak for myself and say that I should promptly update my models to add dimensions. That said, they can absolutely be scaled to fit multiple sizes. My defaults on these were just for bullion coins in air-tite holders, which are typically 44.45 MM across.
