Description

The Ultimate Tesla Grocery Hook

Make the most of the exposed M6 bolt in the trunk of your Tesla and add some utility by adding a compact, easy to print hook!

Prevents groceries from rolling around after a sprited drive home from the store!

No other hardware is required! The hook is designed and threaded to fully utilize the protruding M6 bolt and should be plenty strong enough for groceries and other shopping.

Bonus: The ugly exposed bolt and nut are hidden after installation.

Designed ground up for the Model 3 Highland (2024), and should fit older Model 3 / Ys as well (feel free to test and leave a comment if adjustments are needed).

Printing

Please use the provided print profile, which has been tested to produce a strong reliable part.

Print with PETG or better to avoid warping.

  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 6 walls
  • 50% gyroid infill
  • No supports required

Installation

Just screw it on clockwise.

Disclaimer

The hooks themselves are designed to be strong and each can probably hold upwards of 15k-20kg. I tried and was unable to break one of the prototypes by torquing it.

However, do note that part strength is highly dependent on layer adhesion. It is important to print at a temperature that is optimal for the filament you are using. I am not responsible for spilled milk / fruits / vegetables / chicken / jam? etc. in your trunk.

Believe it or not, I'm pretty sure I was the first person to design a hook that utilized that M6 screw. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3333325 But your design is much better.

Great design, prints easily. It's a bit of a tight fit but still easy to install. Thanks.
