Description

Mask looks amazing. I got quite a big head (helmet size M to L), but it fits neatly.

The hex pattern perfectly hides the print height lines and makes the model look absolutely incredible, especially compared to the flat versions, available. I mean, just look at the pictures!!

All tributes to @Budwin for the model from Printables.

Important: The upload keeps failing, so please check the raw files and download the skull part of this print. Slicing takes a while due to the large size (10 min +).

Print notice:

  • Recommended to use the two .3mf files, I provided, one for the smaller parts and one for the rest.
  • Back part and eyes could be put on one plate.
  • Printed the big part of the mask with .2 layer height and supports strongly recommended to ensure quality.
  • Other parts require supports as well, got a very nice finish with .16 layer height.
  • Used Sunlu Meta PLA, but it should work with any.

Magnets:

You need <=72 magnets of 2x7mm, like these.

However, the holes for magnets are ~7.7 mm , so you either need to modify each hole to ensure pressfit, or use glue instead.

Awesome, did you paint supports or just use delivered? Curious, I'm about to print.

left it as is, no painted supports or anything. I scaled it to 90% for my son and printed in Bambu dark blue matte PLA and red Bambu basic PLA

printed at 107% max size for P1S. used 800g of filament but worth it.

I didn’t design it, but I did create this profile with the adjusted settings for easier printing. did it come out good for you?

when I load the skull file and slice it at 100%, I get errors that the g-code is moving the print head outside the boundaries and I can't send it to the printer. What do I need to change in my slicer for a P1S?

sorry, you run into this! I got A1, and my slicer would not let me change to P1S and try what could be done. Can you see, where exactly you hit the border? Maybe someone else around, who solved this issue before? Maybe you could rotate the X and the Y axis a bit, so that the mask tilts more forwards, reducing the space of ground but adding a little overall height

A little rotation did the trick!
