Mellow Coral Lamp designed to fit the Bambu Lab LED Lamp kit.

This lamp consists of two parts, the base and the main coral lattice-structure. I provided seperate print profiles for each of these parts aswell as the raw model files. So you can also just print the base and use it with the Bambu Lamp kit and your own spheric lamp design.

Note!

The lattice structure was created in Fusion360 and already extensively polished in Blender. However it is an auto-generated mesh so there can be still a few sections that are a bit to thin for your nozzle to print. Leaving some minor imperfections here and there but not affecting the overall structure of the print.

How to print:

1. Lamp_Base

The lamp base is very easy to print and for my tests the following parameters yielded the best results:

PLA-CF Black for a nice matte finish

0.4mm Nozzle

0.16mm Layer Height

Support Normal (auto)

2. Lamp_Coral_Main

The lamp coral part can be printed without support but I strongly recommend the following support settings, so the print does not come off the build plate and some remaining overhangs are supported sufficiently for the best results:

PLA Basic white or any light color works

0.4mm Nozzle

0.2mm Layer Height

Support Tree (manual) already painted in

5mm Brim (Type: Outer and inner brim)

Note: The inner sphere is not supported from the inside! Add one more tree support there if you want it to be extra clean or use the 2nd provided print profile Lamp_Coral_Main_v2. 

Assembly:

If you are using the official Bambu Lab LED Lamp Kit you can also install it without the white LED Cover as this design features a nice light-diffusing inner core.

The LED lamp kit should fit easily in the base, whilst the main coral part should be a press fit.

Adjust the X-Y contour compensation in Bambu studio if you want to change the fit or edit the provided .f3d File in Fusion360.

Known Issues:

The inner sphere is not supported on the main print profile Lamp_Coral_Main.

Add your own support there or use the profile Lamp_Coral_Main_v2.
