3D model description

Unlock your entire arsenal of Transformers weapons to equip on Robosen's Elite Optimus Prime robot!

This weapon adapter makes the square ports in the Robosen Elite Optimus' fists compatible with standard Transformers action figure weapons. The handle is precisely fitted to the shape of the robot's hand to remain firm during movements. On top of the adapter is a 5mm port where you can plug in just about any weapon that has a 5mm peg, including Siege Battle Masters and the Elite's own smokestacks! You can even keep the adapters attached without obstructing transformation (provided a tightly fitting print).

Note that this adapter is designed for Robosen's ELITE Optimus Prime. You may contact me if you want a version for Flagship Optimus Prime.

Mind that not every weapon is compatible with all the robot's movements (not even Robosen's own), but these adapters greatly expand your display options.

3D printing settings

Separate .stl and G-code files for FDM printing are included for PLA and PETG, with the dimensions of the hole fine-tuned to each.

  • Layer height 0.1 to 0.2
  • Nozzle 0.40mm
  • Line width 0.48mm
  • 3 walls
  • Wall order outside to inside
  • Cubic infill 25%
  • Seam at front-left or front-right so that the peg hole contains no seams.
  • 2 top surface skin layers
  • Top/bottom pattern zigzag or lines
  • Bottom pattern initial layer concentric.
  • Ironing either concentric or not at all. Zigzag ironing creates blobs.
  • Print speed 20mm/s for PLA, 12mm/s for PETG
  • Infill speed 25mm/s
  • Outer wall speed 5mm/s
  • Travel speed > 80mm/s
  • Retraction 6mm
  • Combing on, all, to prevent stringing inside the peg hole.
  • Cooling 100% for PLA, 30% for PETG
  • No support
  • Skirt

If necessary, you can adjust the Horizontal Expansion or Hole Horizontal Expansion setting by one or two tenths of a mm to get a better fit.
