3D model description

This tool makes easy work of creating a parallel slit on your trailing edge control surface.
This ensures when you insert your hinges , they're straight and stay centered and horizontal.

There are three center plank versions, 18mm, 15mm & 12mm slot length; You don’t want to make the slit the exact size as your hinges as you want a tight fit. Use an #11 Exacto blade to make the slit. The width of the slot is 1.0 mm, if you have a Bambu printer with greater accuracy, you may want to print the narrow slot version that has a slot width of 0.6mm vs 1.0mm. This provides greater control when installing hinges in very thin pieces of Balsa as it restricts the side to side blade sway.

Adapts to all trailing edges due its adjustable design.

You need QTY 6 servo screws 2x8mm
(2mm diameter x 8mm length)

For the center plank, i recommend turning on supports to support the overhang. This part is hidden anyway when assembled so the finished jig has a nice finish to all visible areas.
