Description

This is a Bosch Pro-Grade ZigBee Wireless Motion Detector holder. https://amzn.to/2DSD8id

The point of this is to make the sensor into an outside sensor.

How to use this:

  1. Put the motion sensor in a clear ziplock bag (this makes it far far easier to deal with if you have to get inside the sensor.) Make sure the opening of the bag is closed, and put the head in first (keep in mind gravity)
  2. Put the motion sensor in this.

I will have 2 lids. 1 of them is a simple lid that you just slide in it. You will need some something like silicone (something you can take off since you need to change the batteries every now and then). The other lets you screw the lid on something and gravity should work with you there. You can attach a small bit of silicone or whatever if you think the wind might take it off. (I recommend taking the motion sensors inside during hurricanes for this reason)

I released the Fusion 360 file

Notes:

You don't need supports, but you can place them if you want.

If you don't use supports, then you might need to clean the bridging slightly

NOTE: Don't use PLA if you're placing this outdoors where it can get hot.
