3D model description

A model of an internal combustion engine compatible with children's construction sets of this type. You can watch a video demonstrating its operation and compatibility with construction sets here.

The best material to print this model is PET-G. It's tested based on my own experience. The model in the provided video is also printed using PET-G. Printing with PLA results in strong resistance when the pistons move.
It's better to print the central shaft as separate parts (Axis for engine Central Part, Axis for engine Part 1-2) and assemble them using cyanoacrylate glue.
The side walls of the engine (Engine Body Cover) are glued on at the end of assembling the entire engine.
Assembly steps:
1) Assemble “Axis for engine”.
2) Attach 8 pieces of “Engine Piston Arm” onto “Axis for engine”.
3) Install the assembled “Axis for engine” with 8 pieces of “Engine Piston Arm” into the “Engine Body”.
4) Slide 8 pieces of “Engine Piston Head” through the guide tubes of the “Engine Body”.
5) Attach the side covers of “Engine Body Cover” using cyanoacrylate glue."

3D printing settings

The model is specifically designed for printing on an FDM printer.
Use PET-G plastic for printing the parts.
