3D model description

Interested in architecture? Discover this VOLUME digital model of a remarkable contemporary architecture in the Grand Est region of France. The VOLUME model highlights the volumetry and form of this architecture. Have fun printing it out to better understand and appreciate it, and we hope it will inspire you to visit!

Under the courageous impetus of its Mayor André Traband and his General Secretary Robert Koel, the town of Haguenau decided, back in 1982, to build an attractive aquatic center that would break away from the classic swimming pools already built. A compromise was found to ensure that sports and water games could be enjoyed at the same time. It was the first project for an aquatic complex in France. Designed for mass production, the Manuréva model, designed by Jean-Michel Ruols, is being built in duplicate. In December 1986, Michel Prats, mayor of Yerres (Essonne), inaugurated the now demolished Nautiland de Yerres. The renovation proposed by Rey and de Crécy was designed to make the pool's different areas more legible, while emphasizing the building's original structure and luminosity. The northern extension on the street enhances the street entrance.

In 2023, the Nautiland Aquatic Center was awarded the "Remarkable Contemporary Architecture" label by the French Ministry of Culture for works less than 100 years old. To date, the Grand Est region of France boasts around 200 buildings graced with this label created by the law of July 7, 2016. A collection that highlights architecture as a living practice.
