3D model description

Taranis Q X7 3S Battery tray that will fit 3 pieces of 18650 unprotected Li-ion batteries.

Meaning you can put in 3x 3500 mAh Li-ion batteries like Samsung INR18650-35E, resulting in a battery pack of 38.85 Wh
(compared to the FrSky 7.4V/2000 mAh battery pack that is only 14.8 Wh it is 2.6 times more)

Perfect when you are using an JR extension module, like like TBS crossfire or ImmersionRC EzUHF, in the
JR bay that often use a little bit more juice than normal.

The Taranis X7 supports an input voltage from 6.0 to 16.0 Volt so 3S 11.1 Volt is no problem.

A complete manual on how to build this, including pictures, is provided in the files.

Other parts you need to build it:

  • Battery Tray
  • Balance lead 2S for the connection between battery tray and X7/X7S
  • Balance lead 3S for balance charging
  • XT60 Power plugs for charging (1x male + 1x female)
  • 20AWG Silicone cable for wiring 50 cm

  • 3D Printed tray with a perfect fit in the battery bay of your Taranis X7 or X7S (for the "s"' version you will need to remove two plastic pieces in the battery bay to fit the cables in)

  • Listing is only for battery tray or battery tray plus accessories (see options)

  • Cells and transmitter are not included.

  • Colors may vary

  • The tray not compatible with 18650 batteries with protection PCB, so only flat top 18650 cells fit
