3D model description

I had a bag of clothespins lying around, and wanted to try to use the spring in order to make a bag clip with teeth that clamps stronger than a clothespin. I think it turned out great!

To assemble, remove the spring from a clothespin.

  • Put the spring just behind the pivot point of one side of the bag clip.
  • Put one end of spring rod into the furthest hole possible, while still keeping the spring coil behind the pivot.
  • Place the other half of the bag clip over the first, at the pivot point, and stretch the spring rod end into the same hole on the other half of the bag clip.

This should work with most clothespin springs. Use the furthest hole possible, while still keeping the spring coil behind the pivot point in order to get the most strength.
