This model is used to mount a standard household light switch under the roadbed of a model railroad. Attach the switch to the mount using #4 x ½" sheet metal screws. Using a length of stiff wire (Piano wire or phosphor bronze wire about .040" diameter), and holes drilled in the handle of the switch and the printed mount, you can create an assembly that will have a wire sticking up through a hole in the roadbed, through the throwbar of the turnout. If you use a 3-way light switch, you can use this to also power the frog on the turnout. I attach a dowel to the wire where it comes through the handle of the light switch. The dowel comes through the layout fascia so you can move the points of the turnout without reaching into the scene.
