Description
I really liked my flexible link-based necklace with interchangeable gems and though they weren't super popular, I decided to continue with creating different versions. This is the version with Emerald cut gems.
It took more trial and error than the other versions to get the gems fitting just right, but I'm pretty happy with the fit.
The Print Profile for the gems has been specifically set up to have concentric top and bottom infill for multi-colored filaments, but it should also work fine for other filaments. Also, if you are going to print multi colored filaments for the gems, I recommend either printing them FACE UP or printing on a smooth plate.
All the links snap together. I like to use 15 of these which is about 16.5" long. I would say each link adds about 1 1/8" to give you an idea of how many you need.
The gems are designed to pop in from the front.
If you haven't seen the previous ones, the links are meant to be printed in flexible TPU ONLY and the gems are PLA.
