Description

For years we have struggled with the bottom of our framelss shower door dragging water out into the bathroom and creating a mess. I have tried every version of door wipe at the bottom of the shower door. I finally decided to take things into my own hands. What I created has completely stopped water from leaking past the door. There may be a few drops but none of them make it off the tile edge to the floor.

My model has 3 main pieces. You can customize this so that it works for your shower door. One piece with a notch taken out is meant to go against the wall stop for the door. If you don't have one then you can use the plain one. The plain one is meant to be in the middle but depending on how you want to set it up you can just use as many of these as you want. The one with the curve in it goes around the hinge of the door. This is necessary because inevitably water always leaks past the hinge. This keeps it contained.

When aligning, make sure that the water stop is actually slighly ouside the inside edge of the blade you are using. With respect to the blade, make sure you trim it just short of touching the tile, otherwise it'll just drag the water out of the shower onto the floor. Once all is aligned, use clear silicone to keep the stop in place. Make sure it's all level and that you cut the wiper level otherwise it won't work as well.

Once done, enjoy nice dry bathroom floors again :-)
