==Overview:==
The Great Talon was an attempt for the Jade Falcons to both bolster their second line medium mech fleet after the Falcon civil war in 3135 and honor the venerable Star League era light powerhouse. The result was a Jack-of-all-trades trooper that can engage targets in any range bracket.

==Capabilities:==
Malvina Hazen herself demanded that the Great Talon be as capable at short range as out to seven hundred meters. to that end the ERPPC that made up the lions share of the original Talons damage profile was a brace of streak SRM-6 launchers mated to the left and right torso in Archer-style clamshell-door covered pods. Each launcher has its own single ton ammo bay. A pair of small pulse lasers take care of infantry and other soft targets. An AMS is mounted just aft of the ventral cockpit hatch. A clan active probe in the right torso helps Hunt down threats. Lastly,, eight full tons of Compound CL20 Ferro-Fibrous armor plate gives ample protection for the Great Talon.

==Deployment:==
The Great Talon is known to have been assigned as reinforcements to the Zeta and Omega galaxies. Particularly in Striker units such as the 124th Striker Cluster and 4th Falcon Striker Cluster.
