Description

From the Fallout series, a light box of the precious Nuka Cola cap (v1)!

The back is double: one with a small hole (to insert a standard cable to be soldered directly onto the LEDs) and one without a hole.

It is made to be placed and remain standing without the need for additional bases. It can also be weighed down by simply attaching a hook without drilling holes.

It is possible to change the color of the outer margin and the back, as desired.
It is also possible to decide whether to leave or remove the small reflections (white lines) on the front side, to have a "relief/depth" effect.

The dimensions can be varied to your liking! (In the images it is printed in "miniature" size, in which case a 0.2 extruder is recommended - but not mandatory)

***WARNING: The inside closing edge is extremely narrow, you will need a perfectly calibrated printer and/or some manual labor and sandpaper if it doesn't close on the first try; I advise you to make a mark on the bottom so you can immediately recognize how to close it otherwise you have to rotate until you find the right closure***

Hi, I really like the design and am printing a couple now. However, the white edges around the bottle cap are getting filled with infill and walls, which shows up in the final print. I have reduced infill to 0 but half of it is still being printed with inner and outer walls but inside the white edges. I've tried fixing it on my own but am having no luck. Could you take a look at this please?

Hi, I uploaded both RAW front and back files, they need to be merged (NO boolean otherwise you will not be able to change the colours), resize as you wish and the front is mandatory to flip (180° X axis) to get the right write. I also gave a check on the infill and i'm so so sorry, you're right. I set the infill 10% instead 0% my mistake (when i print little caps, i've set 10% and it uploaded the infill also on the big one. I uploaded the 0% infill bambu file. You will see in the slicer a red layer that is between the "inner close" white, i set it to give a "shadow effect", give it a check if you want to keep it or not (if not, you need to delete it via painting) Really sorry again for the issue!

about the walls, these must be at least 2 to get a strong enough close, otherwise it may break easily.... if you prefer you can set all the top colour red (i tried but i didn't liked it that much all red)

Replying to @Alegiro :
Thanks, so I was able to get the new version you uploaded to print properly (without the wall lines showing up on the edges) by reducing the size to 95%. For some reason, any larger that than and the slicer would add those walls underneath the white on the edges. I also had to scale the backside accordingly but that was a bit tricky, due to it being 350% of the smaller one. So I calculated the difference from the front and scaled the back accordingly. I'll upload the dimensions when I rate the profile, in case someone else wants to do the same.

Just need to rescale the front to 95% and that worked well with no issues. the back I had to manually calculate to be 233.17 x 225.82 x 28. I also dropped it below the build plate to make the base a bit thinner. really nice print overall, I'm quite happy with it.
