Heavy Duty Car Trunk Organizer and Cargo Holder

This trunk organizer is recommended to be printed out of ABS because of it's great temperature resistance. PLA might start to melt in the heat of a car in summer.

There are two size variations available. The smaller one (size 1) is faster to print and is also easier to install and remove from the car trunk. This is ideal for groceries and medium weight cargo. The bigger one (size 2) is way more rugged and will stick to the trunk lining really hard. You want to use this for heavy cargo items.

Additional materials

• Adhesive velcro, 50 mm wide
• [OPTIONAL] grip tape, I used grip tape meant for hockey sticks

Printing

The print file includes plates that have one, two and four holders in both sizes ready for printing. But due to the ABS's tendency to warp, you might want print only one or two holders at once. I printed two at a time and had good results.

Assembly

[1] Once printed, clean off the brim from the parts. Let the parts cool down and you should be able to break of the brim just with your fingers. If not, a knife works well.

[2] Apply velcro tape at the bottom. The size 2 holder is designed to fit two strips of 50 mm wide velcro tape. Size 1 needs only one strip.

[3] The model has these grooves designed at the bottom. Run a knife along the groove to trim the velcro to size.

[4] OPTIONAL - Add grip tape to the face of the holder. Apply strips of grip tape. There are grooves around the face of the model as well that can be used to trim the excess grip tape with a knife.
