Description

Perhaps a tale unfolds—a Jedi, once revered, now cast from grace within the order. Their beliefs diverge from the Jedi code, challenging tradition. Or maybe I was just trying to figure out a cool name for this hilt. You decide.

This is my fourth modular saber, following The Fallen. The parts on this saber 100% compatible with The Fallen. Note that the pommel end-cap and D-Ring can be added to the Fallen (which lacks any attachment points). If you are a covertec clip fan, there is an ‘Optional Parts’ folder that has a modified upper pommel and covertec parts.

While emitter pieces and hilt grip are compatible with my other ‘modular sabers’, the pommel and mid sections of this one are thinner and will not be compatible with the grips on The Guardian or The Master.

Print Settings:

Layer Height: 0.15mm for main parts, 0.1mm for emitter, 0.2 for the Activator panel.

Walls: 3 for the hilt pieces, 2 for the spacers

Infill: 15%, gyroid.

NO SUPPORTS - NO BRIMS - NO GLUE!! :D

Filament:

  • Sunlu PLA - Black
  • Ziro Silk PLA - Black Silver
  • Sunlu Silk PLA - Gold
  • Sunlu Silk PLA - Silver

Assembly Notes:

  • Look at the pics attached on assembly.
  • The pommel end cap has a 4mm hex hole for an allen key.
  • The D-Ring will snap fit into the pommel end cap - don't be afraid to use a little force.
  • For the Activator panel, I did a color swap from Gold to Black at layer 8 (0.2mm layer height)
  • Note that there are optional indexing holes in the the pommel and activator bezel - these are sized to use filament as the alignment pegs.

As always, I hope you all enjoy printing this as much as I enjoyed designing it!

Well i went out and got the Gold. NOVA PLA+. Silk Silver Nova PLA+. Silk Black Nova Pla+ Silk Gold I have had issues prtining the Emitter cover in Silk pla as its brittle this can be to hot or to fast. printing the emitter in none silk. so solid colors seems stronger. others resaults may vary. 5/5 Print. Lightsaber Stand from. SabreDesign https://makerworld.com/en/models/177139?from=search#profileId-194789 i have not printed the bottom plate for the stand as i like the minimal look. I like the color combo! My print profile has settings for the emitter cover that worked for me. But I was using regular PLA. I'm new to Bambu printers and came from a heavily modified ender clone that could print this stuff all day long (albeit significantly slower) so I am still working out profiles that will print these delicate parts more reliably.

Printing in progress... neato lightsaber, I may look into cutting out part of the emitter to fit a lightsaber blade from Galaxy's Edge

I like the color combo! Funny you mention the blade; I recently got a savi's workshop saber and was thinking about wrapping a couple of my designs around the core.

Curious question: Whose lightsaber is this based off of? It looks amazing!

Thanks! No one's really. After I created 'The Fallen' I thought- what would the lightsaber have looked like if the wielder hadn't yet become a sith? The top shroud area started off with a similar profile to Luke's (ANH/ESB) but I wanted a little more flare to it.
