3D model description

This is the predecessor to my other projekt Pillman, that can be found here: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/home/pillman

Customizable Pillbox was created to have the possibility to create boxes for pills depending on the amount of pills that are needed. Some need many pills multiple times a day, some need a few pills once a day. Some of the usecases are covered by this project. I also use this to create boxes for camera-lenses, thats why there is the possibility to create a pillbox without compartments.

The mechanism is reliable and easy to use. The box has a cap that is locked using a very simple spring-mechanism that doesn't require a usual spring, just an element that is glued in the middle of the cap.

The openscad file contains everything that is needed to create boxes in different sizes. For a complete box you need to have four elements:
1. the box
2. the cap
3. the spring inside the cap
4. the blocking lid that enables the user to pour out the pills of one compartment without messing aroung with the pills in the other compartments

The stl-files are examples for the possible sizes. There are files for small boxes and bigger boxes. The small boxes are not the smallest that are possible, the bigger boxes are not the biggest that are possible. It depends on your printer what can be done.

To print a complete box you need to print the following stl-files:
1. xxx-box-yyy.stl
2. xxx-cap.stl
3. xxx-spring.stl
4. xxx-block-yyy.stl (except when yyy is empty)

xxx = big or small
yyy = 2, 4, swing, yinyang or empty

if yyy is empty then there is no stl file for the block since this is the file where there are no compartments within the box.

The spring is just a round plate with a slightly smaller diameter than the box itself. It has an elevation in the middle. This elevation should be glued inside the cap. I use doublesided adhesive tape to fix this in place. It also works without fixing it, but then it will drop out of the cap when you open it.

The blocking lid is just a lid with a space for one compartement that will be placed in the middle of the box with it hollow stick downwards. No need to fix this there. When pouring out the pills just keep one finger or thumb on the lid and everything works fine.
