3D model description

Fully costume ready wearable Grenadier Bracers for any Katsuki Bakugo cosplay, or simply for display.

I will not upload a paid design without putting as much thought into making it easily wearable and as comfortable as possible.

That being said, this prop has gone through several revisions as it is by nature either difficult to print to uncomfortable to wear or both

This is version 3 and I am finally happy with all the details, ease of printing and it provides a reasonable level of comfort.

All parts are printed separately allowing for easy sanding and painting. Any parts that need to be assembled on to the main body of the bracer have either a guide pin or a small alignment nub to ensure every bracer goes together easily in the correct orientation without mistakes.

No additional parts are needed to make this a wearable cosplay prop, but some parts are recommended.

8mm (5/16") wooden dowel - reinforces the lever base. This part of the model is very fragile due to the direction of the layer lines aligning exactly the wrong way for the force applied. I had two break before adding this reinforcement. A pencil will also do in a pinch, but may need a lot of glue to fill the extra space.
8x3mm round magnets - six magnets total can be used to attach the two lever halves as well as the top and bottom pinned facets.
Foam padding - As not every arm is the same size, it's a good plan to get yourself some padding to add to the inside of the sleeve. This will add comfort and prevent the prop from shifting around on your arm all day.

Velcro strap - Once the padding is added the sleeve will likely not want to stay nice and compressed making sliding your sleeved arm into the rest of the prop somewhat challenging. Just grab some Velcro straps and band the two halves of the sleeve together for a nice snug fit.

Very little support material is needed for this entire model and even if you have a poorly tuned printer, this prop should still be reasonably easy to print.

Each fully printed bracer will use roughly 2 spools of filament to print (depending on settings), so be ready to invest a substantial amount of time into the printing process

Required printer volume is 205x205x205. Any larger pieces have been segmented into a & b parts to accommodate for this volume. Any further segmenting will have to be done by the end user of the files.

3D printing settings

Prototypes were printed on a Creality CR-10 v1 at 0.2mm layer height with 3 walls at 12% infill for most parts and 0.16mm for the grenade facets to allow for better overhang angles and for a smoother finish for sanding.

For most parts, the standard 0.2mm layer height will be acceptable and allow for minimal sanding.

The main body can be printed at 0.25mm as there are not many small details and it will be mostly covered.

I recommend printing all the grenade facets at 0.16mm or lower as it will greatly increase the smoothness on the many sharp angles of the facets and give better overhang angle.
