3D model description

This is an RC ship that is modeled directly after USCG FRC. Its 4'6" if printed at 100% scale. It can handle roughly 10" seas. The hull must be modified to accept whatever propulsion system you want to use. For steering I just use differential thrust. It also has a bow thruster that allows it to turn within its own length at slow speed. It has a stern launch ramp for a Cutterboat, which I have also made and can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3927905

If you would like to see someone building this at a slightly smaller scale who
A.) Is doing a much better job of documentation than I did
B.) Is doing a much better job than me overall

The page is in German but Google does a pretty good job of translation.

Update 4: New post printing instructions.

Update:
I added some details I've seen in pictures. The backrail file must be trimmed depending on the size servo you use for the stern gate.
I also added a bilge pump so that minor leaks aren't an issue. It mounts inside the hull just under the front deck and I ran tubes to where the water needed to go.
I am also moving to .3mf files because they are so much smaller.

Update 2:
Big Super middle is now 20 Mb instead of 103 Mb.

Update 3:
"Big Super middle small" is 5 Mb instead of the 20 Mb "Big Super middle file."

Update 4:
50% scale files with thicker shells were added if you want to print it smaller. Note that these will need to be cut by you to fit your printer setup. I recommend meshmixer. You will also need to hollow the superstructure to your specs (do this before you cut it). The accessories can all just be scaled down. Also infill and such are not the same. I have only printed these once (2 shells, 15%), so I'm not totally sure what would be ideal.
