3D model description

A tidy way to store the brick's built-in cord, wall cord, and a 1m (3.3ft) USB-C cable to power the Surface off compatible battery banks. Two bolt-together halves & a matching colored strap button suitable for Microsoft Surface Pro 7 power bricks. Perfect size to strap on an Arc Mouse for a neat, compact travel setup. Hidden nuts for maximum sleekness.

Definitely compatible with Surface Pro 7 & Surface Book 2 power bricks. May be compatible with other Microsoft Surface & Surface Laptop bricks. Should fit any 90 x 50 x 25mm (3.54 x 1.97 x 0.98in) power bricks with power & USB connections in the same spots. Leaves USB port accessible for standard cables & accessories.

Some additional hardware required for assembly.
- 3ct M4 x 0.7mm x 25mm long countersunk screw.
- 3ct M4 x 0.7mm nylon lock or plain nuts.
- 1ct Wrap-N-Strap model 900.

Nuts & bolts are readily available from local hardware stores. The straps are available direct from Wrap-N-Strap. They come with their own robust fastening buttons, but if you want to match the color of your reel & buttons, a lower-profile button model is included.

3D printing settings

Size: Do not modify. The rectangular pockets for the brick should be 90.4 x 50.4mm.

Filament: Your choice. I made successful prototypes in PETG & PLA. As always, I recommend using a recyclable filament if you can.

Slicing: Your choice. 0.15mm is a nice balance of speed & gentle transitions.

Infill: 100%. These are fairly thin parts that will see a lot of handling, so I recommend making them nice & strong.

Supports: Required for reel nut side & strap button. Highly recommended on bolt side, but not necessary if you're comfortable printing a 45deg overhang. Set support angles to make it easy to remove support from inside the nut pockets.

Assembly: Clean support material. Slide nuts into pockets, checking orientation if using lock nuts. Align nut side with brick, making sure the USB port is clear. The bolt side of the reel goes on the lettered side of the brick. The two-bolt end of the reel should face the wall cord inlet.
