Boulton Paul P111 RC 64mm EDF-jet 750mm spann

After years of designing CNC foam-cut planes that often-contained 3D printed parts, I have now converted one of those designs into a fully printed version. For this I took my Boulton Paul for a 64 EDF. It is a fast, small and simple model and has good flight characteristics. The foam version in Marlboro livery is still one of my favorites after more than a hundred flights. The Marlboro BP was once measured with a speedgun at 225kph.

!!!Although the Boulton Paul is not a difficult aircraft to fly, it is not a trainer and requires a trained pilot!!!

Building an indestructible model is still not possible, but what I have often noticed is that printed planes are often much more brittle than planes that are built more conventionally and they quickly shatter if things go wrong. The Boulton Paul is no exception to this, but I have tried to make it as robust and light as possible, and if necessary, parts of the BP can be easily replaced. For example, the nose, wing and vertical stab can be replaced in the blink of an eye, for this it is sufficient to loosen a few screws, remove the old part, put a new piece on and tighten the screws again.

##Update july 2023##
Added some STL files of modified parts.
For F2 there is now also the option to print it without the finger holes if you only want to launch with bungee.
F3 can now also be printed with the brake chute bulge if you like more scale.
These parts are fully compatible with the other parts of the Boulton Paul.
I can also recommend other print settings, the last two Boultons I have not printed double-walled but single-walled with 5% Gyroid infill and a flow rate of 55%. What may need to be adjusted depending on the printer used is the extra priming after retraction. With my Ender 6 with BIQU H2 extruder it is now on 2mm³.
The weight is comparable to the double-walled version, but the parts feel much stronger.

-added missing STL files front & rear for the split F2.
-F3 and W1 Main wing section split, so a print volume of 220x220x200 is sufficient instead of 220x220x250
-F4 vert stab it is now possible to reinforce it with a leftover of the 0.8mm steel wire, making the very thin tip less vulnerable
