3D model description

Here is an elastic alternative to the rubber strap of an underwater compass.

This compass model can be found identically in several brands of diving equipment. It is easily recognizable.

The rotation of the body keeps the line of faith in the right direction no matter how the compass is held. The line of faith is by construction parallel to the strap, so that on the wrist or on the back of the hand, it is impossible to have this line in the intended direction without exaggerated contortion.

My compass is normally attached to my stab thanks to a clip passed through the strap. To use it, I unclip the compass to keep it in my hand. But then it is not always useful to hang it up and it becomes cumbersome in the hands.

Here the strap is replaced by a 25mm wide flat elastic. This allows me very quickly to put it back on the back of the hand without disturbing the grip.

There are three collages to be made to put it all together:

1- glue bousole_1_1 to bousole_3. Be careful not to glue the spring blades;

2- insert compass_4 into compass_1_2 and then glue compass_4 into compass_3. Attention compass_4 is an axis that should not be glued to compass_1_2 ;

3- insert compass_2 around the compass and insert the latter into compass_3. Then glue compass_2 with compass_3.

Pass the elastic through the two slots, thread the clip and overlock to finish the bracelet.
