Scale Bond car number plate
by DAR01

Scale model of UK number plate for a certain secretive gentleman who has a preference for his Vodka Martini to be shaken, not stirred. Ideal for desk or workshop as a novelty item.

Dimensions are 150x30mm. (Full size plate would be around 530x112 but wouldn't fit most printers).

For modern style Rear- Yellow plate with black text, Front plate - White with black text.
Older style (for DB5) - Black with silver text.

I have included the plate BMT 216A as used on the DB5 flip plate for those that like to be a little more subtle or obscure.

3D printing settings

Print using a slicer that can change filament at height (such as Prusa slicer).

Print base layers as any colour (Black for old style or white or Yellow for Front/rear new style), then select the text layers as Black for new style or white/silver for old style.

PLA is fine for use indoors or in shaded areas (the heat from the sun can warp PLA prints). ABS or ASA is best for outdoor performance.
