3D model description

Fits the 3-door Euro Spec Model Fiesta ST

This is a slightly different take on getting some use out of the gaping hole in front of the gear lever on the Fiesta.

In this download, the cover plate and an ST logo is included as separate files, so you can customize things to your liking.

(Please take note of the size and shape of the hole before purchase to make sure it's the same on your vehicle)

The cover plate attaches and detaches using magnets, so the cover plate requires a small metal plate glued on, and the inside of the cubby needs a little magnet that can be attached with strong double sided tape.
You can get the magnets and the metal plates required by stripping a set of magnetic cupboard catches. (see photos)

Getting the magnet fit right is tricky, so have patience and try to use some masking tape to mark out the metal plate location in relation to the magnets.
Good quality superglue or 2 part epoxy is recommended for attaching the metal plate to the cover, and a proper automotive tape to attach the magnets to the sides of the hole.

Once you have achieved a fit that is to your liking, you can use an adhesive of your choice to make a permanent fit for the magnets, but you do this entirely at your own risk.

To secure the logo to the cover plate, 2 part epoxy is recommended, as superglue will sometimes leave a white residue.

3D printing settings

PETG works well in reasonable climates, ABS or ASA in hotter climates, especially if your vehicle is in direct sunlight.

If your machine is dialed in, you can print face up without supports, perhaps a little cooling to help with the overhangs.
This should work for the cover plate and the logo.

For a nice smooth effect, try using Ironing in your slicer. Again, this requires a dialed in machine and knowledge of ironing settings.
