3D model description

Fully customizable modular drawer system.

Designed to be printed in vase mode, quickly and economically.

You can make the combinations to your liking, do not worry about the inserts, they are totally invisible.

All the drawer systems I've printed so far (including the ones available on cults) didn't meet my needs, so I decided to design it myself.

IMPORTANT: to laterally join the 3-drawer drawers with the 2- or 4-drawer drawers, use the middle and lower joint pieces.

Characteristic:

  • 4 types of frame, (width/depth) 80x60mm, 80x120mm, 160x60mm and 160x120mm.
  • Hidden inserts and divider.
  • Drawers without separations between them.
  • Slot for labels in all drawers.
  • Vase mode, fast printing.
  • Calculated tolerances (make sure you have your printer calibrated).

Parts/Assembly:

It is very simple, the name of the file indicates the characteristics, for example:

  • Frame 2 80x60 (frame for two drawers, 80mm wide, 60mm deep)
  • Drawer 2 80x60 (drawer for Frame 2 80x120)

  • Frame 4 80x120 (frame for four drawers, 80mm wide, 120mm deep)

  • Drawer 4 80x120 (drawer for Frame 4 80x120)

After printing your frames and drawers, find the joint design you like best and print the corresponding joints (middle/low joint) in 60mm or 120mm, depending on the depth of the frames.

3D printing settings

PLEASE NOTE:

The frames and drawers are designed to be printed in vase mode. Use minimum 0.8mm nozzle to ensure strong wall thickness. You can print the joints with conventional 0.4 nozzle.

Frames and drawers
Nozzle: 0.8mm
Layer height: 0.32 (recommended)
Solid bottom layers: 3 or more (ensure minimum 0.9mm height)
No supports for all parts.

Make sure you have the print bed well calibrated, to avoid elephant's foot.

If you don't want to use vase mode, you can print these files conventionally, without infill or solid top layers, this way you can achieve stronger walls by increasing the number of perimeters.
