3D model description

DEC 24th, 2022 ADDED SPLIT VERSION
Split version .stl files allow you to scale each half and glue them together with CA glue. This ultimately allows larger versions to be printed as you can print each half separately on your printer bed.
*Note each half is actually genderless, meaning there is no difference between left and right halves (100% identical). I included left and right .stl files for the sake of simplicity but you could just duplicate one side and it can be used as a left or a right due to the universal interlocking design. Confusing I know but it works :)

Note: Scaling will change the size of the holes proportionally. Make sure to scale equally !

Download package Includes AutoCad Fusion 360 source file !

I needed an access panel to cover the radiant heat pipes in the wall. The design is comprised of three pieces- Frame,Insert and Plate . The frame permanently mounts to the wall and the insert/plate are removable. This way the wall is not disturbed when you need access. See dimensional drawing. The frame is the largest piece which is 210mm x 96mm. I've include the Fusion 360 File should you choose to resize the design to suit your own needs.

Once all the pieces are printed, glue the Plate to the Insert use CA glue. Alternately to save PLA, you may choose to not print the Plate and use some other material to mount inside the insert.

For mounting the frame to the wall, I used four #6 screws 1" long (4 places) .
To mount removable Insert/plate, I used two #6 screws 1/2 " long (2places)
