This print was made to meet a specific need I had, but I thought it would be useful to provide the print as it has some useful design ideas.

I needed to mount a Raspberry Pi enclosure to a metal post 3" in diameter, so I made this simple adapter which can be zip-tied to the post and provide a flat surface for mounting. My RasPi enclosure has a provision for hanging it on two screw heads, so the adapter includes two screw holes 1" apart for mounting screws.

The adapter is designed so that it can be printed without supports or infill.  With 3 perimeters, the screw holes have sufficient wall thickness that they can be drilled out a bit if necessary.  The print is hollow, but has internal ribs build in which both reinforce the print, and provide internal support for the screw hole sections.

The “waist” on the print makes it easy to use a nylon zip tie to fasten the adapter to a post (see photo).
