3D model description

Itโ€™s really easy to print, itโ€™s from a single piece, and the antlers are strong.

I designed it to be also a book holder, a small fruit basket, a table napkins holder, a bottle holder for small bottles, a console disks case holder only (3-4 CDs), and a controller, etc. If you can build it larger, make it a magazine/newspaper holder or maybe a full-size wine bottle holder.

You can sell only 3d printed copies of it but never the 3d model.

  • It prints in one piece, with no glue, and no joining parts.
  • You only need a few supports for the top of the arch of the antlers and maybe the tip of the mouth. Really easy to print, I printed it on my 100% stock Creality CR6 that has a 235x235 bed size

I donโ€™t own a multicolor 3d printer but it would look great with different colors for the body/antlers/hooves/nose/maybe ears. You can also paint it with acrylic

3D printing settings

  • 3-5 walls, the more the better
  • 10%-15% infill for the body
  • 50%-100% infill for the antlers or as many walls so that the antlers get enough strength
  • 0.15-0.2 mm layer height or what level of detail you want (I did it with 0.16)
  • I added support only for overhangs higher than 65%, meaning just a medium area for the antlers and a small area for the tip of the mouth
  • Speed depends on the ability of your printer and the quality you want. I made it with 25mm/s outer walls and 35 for the infill but I should have made it faster.
  • Adhesion โ€“ The surface first layer surface is big enough but I would add probably a brim next time. I tried with no adhesion but experienced very little warp and I would not repeat this.
  • Maybe add some extra top skin layers if you want
  • Optimize wall printing order setting (in Cura) set to ON
