This kit aims to provide printable ships and kit-bashable parts supporting designs from Masao Okazaki’s Starfleet Museum website.
Going back to the late 1990’s, Masao offered fans an original take on Star Trek history and ship design between the Vulcan first contact and the original TV series. It featured a logical technological progression from the early years of warp drive, through the Earth-Romulan War, and on to the early Federation era. Star Trek Enterprise was produced after this time and contradicted much of this timeline, but the Starfleet Museum remains a fascinating and compelling take on Trek Lore.
My intention with this latest kit is to cover the ships of the Earth-Romulan War. This is the second kit covers half the Masao’s United Earth Stellar Navy’s (UESN) ship designs. The previous part 1 of this kit includes the rest of the UESN designs, and a third kit includes Romulan ships seen during the war.
As with my previous kits, these ships are meant to be compatible with all of my previously published starship parts kits.
See my Cults3d Profile for the full list of parts kits I’ve released so far. Each of these kits includes combined ships and ship parts STL files, along with blender source files used to create them. Ship files should be ready to print. Part files are provided so you can import into your 3d modelling software of choice to combine and modify to easily create your own ship designs. All parts are meant to be cross-compatible between kits.
Included Ships
This kit includes the following ships:
The Armarillo was one of the UESN’s most advanced fusion powered pre-war design, but was left facing off against more powerful Romulan designs early in the war, and was supplanted by more advanced matter/anti-matter designs later in the war.
Based on the Bison class hull, the fusion powered Baikal class fielded the first mobile subspace transmitter in UESN service.
An advanced matter / anti-matter powered small cruiser developed from the Fireball class test bed, the Comets were primarily used as fleet scouts. Post-war they would serve as the (heavily modified) design basis for the Daedalus class exploration cruisers.
The Conqueror was the last heavy cruiser design developed in the late war, and served as the spearheads of the final battle that broke the Romulan navy’s back at the Battle of Cheron.
The Farragut class served as orbital ground attack ships during the UESN’s late war invasion of Romulan space.
The Fireball was an experimental small cruiser design used as a technology demonstrator. The Fireball was modified for operational service and became the Comet class.
The Krechet was a matter / anti-matter powered light cruiser developed mid-war to replace the Amarillo class.
The Marconi was a more advanced matter / anti-matter powered communication ship developed later in the war to support fleet subspace communication.
This fast combat transport was based off of a heavily modified Bison class hull, and was critical in supporting the UESN fleet logistics during the invasion of Romulan space. Post-war these ships would see significant use in civilian service for decades.
The Pioneer was a large fusion powered cruiser based off a shortened Bison class hull. Although seeing heavy action during the early part of the war, it was primarily relegated to a support role once matter / anti-matter ships started entering service.
Tannhäuser class ships were a matter / anti-matter powered evolution of the Pioneer class design that featured much improved offensive and defensive capabilities.
