super shad swimbait mold top pour

this is a 3 3 3/8 small shad open pour mold that I designed after some name brand ones. I have poured roughly 36 baits out of the single molds and have not had issues. I usually pour around 320* but I also place them in front of a fan to help with cooling.

when the mold is new, I coat them in mold release. in my case, I used a canola based cooking spray. I let the molds sit for 15 minutes before I pour them to ensure the cooking spray has soaked into the mold.

the alignment pins I use are 1/4" copper tubing, but the holes are 7 mm to give some play.

My goal this year is to print all my own mold bodies, and use only my lures this year. I will be uploading as I make them, so keep checking in to keep updated.
