3D model description

!!! EDIT !!!
I made a small change to the "Vise_Body_Stationary" in adding an insert nut instead of printed in place threads. This will make it even more printable, Enjoy!

** Make sure to check out the entire clamp and rail system lineup!! **

Welcome to my Clamp and DoveTail System project for Thingiverse!

Parts will load as intended for printing into your favorite slicer!

**Note**
No materials are need other than printed, and Three 50mm long pieces of filament to hold the Turn knob to the Vise clamp bolt. These three pieces of filament are very strong for the application.

This vise is very robust, it will work well for many maker shop project needs. Some machines can handle the bridging for the sliding slot in the "Stationary" Vise part, your results might vary.

The Long bolt requires a machine capable of printing 265mm tall, and the Short bolt only requires 235mm. Long bolt gives 120mm of Jaw opening, and Short bolt gives 90mm Jaw opening. The jaws are 120mm wide, Identical to each side, removable and more jaw configurations on the way (Things like fractal, pipe clamping and smooth on the way!).

The clamp is currently designed to accommodate a 5mm - 35mm thick surface. The clamping printed bolt is pre-shrunk in x/y by 4% for ease of use, your results might vary depending on your personal settings and machine.

There are two options for the clamp - one with built in support and one without support. The built in support works great if your machine can handle bridges quite well. You can also use the built in support model combined with slicer supports if desired.

All models are printable with no supports, although your machine and slicer settings will need to be able to handle bridging and overhangs.

The file type is .3mf as it has the highest quality conversion, the single .stl file is there as thingiverse wants at least one of their required file types to publish the item.

I hope you enjoy, Happy Printing!

I am doing this partially for fun, as well as hopefully showcasing my ability to design well put together projects in terms of function, printability and aesthetics. Please follow this page to keep up with future releases.

If you enjoy my work, under no obligation whatsoever, feel free to make a small donation to help me keep my design tools and equipment up to date and afford myself the time to continue with this journey!

Thank You Sincerely!
