3D model description

This shock absorber is compatible to the common Lego axles. The sliding piece is put on the axle together with the pressure springs and blocked at the top. There are two versions, each with a hole at the top and an axle cross at the bottom and vice versa. When using several springs, they can be separated by spacers so that they do not slide or rotate into each other. In addition, the spring characteristics can be tuned by combining different springs. Springs with 5mm inner and 7mm outer diameter fit. BAS offers an assortment of 246 compression springs for a small price.

I recommend printing in STL orientation in 0.2mm layer height with 50% infill and support. Make sure that any support residue is removed from the axle guide and that the axles can be moved easily. The spacers can be printed without support.

------------ I would be very happy if you have as much fun with the things as I do. ------------

If you like :-) Thank you very much!

This shock absorber is compatible with the common Lego axles. The sliding piece is put on the axle together with the compression springs and is blocked at the top. There are two versions, each with a hole at the top and an axle cross at the bottom, and vice versa. When using multiple springs, they can be separated by spacers so that they do not slide or rotate into each other. In addition, the spring characteristics can be optimally adjusted by using different springs. Springs with 5mm inner and 7mm outer diameter fit. From BAS there is a pressure spring assortment with 246 pieces for narrow money.

I recommend printing in STL orientation at 0.2mm layer height with 50% infill and support. Make sure that any support residue is removed from the axis guide and that the axes can be moved easily. The intermediate rings can be printed without support.
