Print your own "Personalize Your Own" Sonic Screwdriver based on the newest 12th Doctor's in the 2015 episode "Hell Bent".

Compatible with the Personalize Your Own Sonic Screwdriver. Replacements at http://www.character-online.com/products/Toy-Spare-Parts-Accessories/Doctor-Who/Personalise-Your-Sonic-Screwdriver-Inner-Unit/. If anyone finds a source for this part in the USA for a reasonable price, please let me know!
Original kits are located at http://smile.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Personalize-Screwdriver-Combinations/dp/B0056EO5IS and http://smile.amazon.com/Doctor-Who-Trans-temporal-Sonic-Screwdriver.
All the pieces are interchangeable. If you own the other two kits, that should bring your total up to 5 Handles, 5 button sections, and 10 ends (which are interchangeable top or bottom). 5 Handles, 5 button sections, and 10 ends (which are interchangeable top or bottom).
I printed three of these on my Printrbot Play with Hatchbox PLA. The light blue translucent emitter was initially printed in ABS, but after multiple print failures I switched to translucent white PLA.
After painting my first successful print, I started making design changes to make it more printable. The first design change I made was to split the blue and silver components as separately printable parts. This reduced the amount of support structure needed. I further split the silver into two rings, four bars, and a cage, for the handle. The more pieces I used, the cleaner the final design. More pieces do require more gluing of parts in the end.
Recommend a Silver and Gold Sharpie, super glue, translucent white/clear or blue for the emitter, dark blue (tardis blue?) for the large components, and silver for the remaining parts.
