3D model description

The 'Secret Compartment Box' is just that... a box you can store things in plus a hidden store compartment in the base. The base of the box has a slot through its centre and slides in / out to provide access to the things hidden inside.

Well print 'Secret Compartment Boxes' should look and function like any basic storage box for small things with a lid... to someone 'not expecting' that it is anything other than a basic box they won't notice that the base part can be removed and the floor inside the box is raised a small amount to hide things of value away... a great place to store away things including money, keys, jewellery, notes/letters and more...

A range of 'Secret Compartment Boxes' is provided. The standard box is approx. the size of regular playing cards (65mm x 90mm internal) and 20mm in internal height with the base installed. The base compartment will take things to be hidden up to 5mm thick.

The L and XL are 100mm x 100mm but vary in box height and the base unit height. The L has an internal height of 20mm with a base compartment height of 5mm. The XL has an internal height of 45mm and the base compartment is 10mm (double the height of the other boxes). The L and XL bases are interchangeable.... but using the XL base (10mm internal height) in the L box would greatly reduce the regular internal space too much... which would be more likely to make someone suspect there is a hidden compartment.

The various parts /options are simple prints on well set up machines. The base and lid should be a snug fit into the box part with a fraction of tension as they are slid into place. As not all machines and slicing apps work the same, if your print is tight, uniformly scale it up slightly or scale down uniformly if the fit is too loose.

The 'Secret Compartment Box' is practical for everyday storage of small things.... but also a great way to hide away things of value. Print your box all in one colour or make the lid and box different colours for a brighter / more personalized look.

Great to use yourself at home or work... and a unique gift for friends and family. print one today... and if you do please post images for other members to see.
