3D model description

This adaptor is used when you're in the unusual position of needing to attach an item (usually a washable filter housing) designed for use with a Lay-Z-Spa TO your CleverSpa.

So the larger end is a female thread that will screw onto your CleverSpa filter thread.

The small end is a male thread which will screw INTO your Lay-Z-Spa intended filter housing.

This is the 'lesser-used' adaptor, although quite a few people have asked for it. I have added a cross section and a render to highlight what it consists of.

The Lay-Z-Spa thread was extremely difficult to figure out, and involved a lot of measuring and then guessing of the thread pattern, which turned out to be a trapezoidal thread (yeah...).

I will be adding other spa adaptors shortly, so keep an eye out.

3D printing settings

You can print this with no supports. There will be a little bit of roughness on the underside when it wasn't supported, but it will finish up fine and do the job perfectly. General settings for whatever filament you're using are fine, no special considerations required.

I have printed in PLA @ 205 degrees and a bed heated to 55 degrees in super quality and 50% infill. It took about 7 hours, but you can do it much, much quicker by dropping the quality and infill.

PETG would probably be the ideal filament if available, but PLA is fine. I think mine is actually PLA+ by eSun, which I find to be great.
