3D model description

This is a pretty simple dual cooling duct for the X5S. I'm working on printing it, so I should have some example pics soon.

This mounts in exactly the same place as the original blower. There are two versions. The _40milfans is for your everyday 40mm fans. The _ductless40mil is for a rather rare variety of 40mm fans that have no duct around them, I found them on old graphics cards and I like them because they're really quiet. Please comment if you have some of these and know what they're called, I've been looking around but I can't seem to find anything similar online.

YOU WILL NEED TO RELOCATE THE X-AXIS ENDSTOP! I am working on an alternative design to bypass this issue, but for now you will need to mount it to the back of the gantry. This requires further modification of the printer.

UPDATE #1: Fixed size issue, cleaned up for better printing (you shouldn't need supports now) and added a text logo. To add your own logo, the file is available on TinkerCAD (link below).

UPDATE #2: Re-designed left part of duct so that the endstop does not need to be moved. Rearranged fans to be less intrusive, pulled the ducts forward in relation to mounting holes (was previously a tight fit) and redesigned outlet ducts to print better and have better overall airflow. The new file is labelled "Better Dual Fan Duct for X5S". I am only going to post the STL for the ductless fans (because that's what I use), but if you want to mod it for standard 40 mm fans, the first TinkerCAD link will take you to the appropriate file, which you can mesh with the file from the second link to add the appropriate mounts. If you do make a mod, make sure to post as a remix!

Feel free to go mod these on TinkerCAD (link below), and post a remix if you do! I'd really like to see what y'all come up with!
