Water bottle cage for bicycles.

I highly recommend you print version 2 of this holder. It is stronger. This design tends to break along the sharp angles in the design.

Also, several people have stated that they like the look of the newer design.

I have a older bike that did not have water bottle cage mounts.

I designed a printable cage that has channels for wire ties to hold the cage to the bike.

I still used some VHB tape to adhere the cage to my bike.

I've used it twice now, and it seems to work well for me so far.

I attached the stl file and the source solidworks file for your pleasure. Please be certain to share any derivative works.

Print the cage from the bottom up.

If attaching to a bike without bottle cage mounts:

1. Attach some double sided tape to the Something like vhb recommended.

2. Put the bottle in the cage to ensure proper placement.

3. Clean the area on the bike very well to ensure proper bonding.

4. Carefully place cage on bike.

5. remove bottle.

6. Put wire ties through the channels on the cage. Ensure the sharp tails are on the back.

7. clip excess wire tie.

If attaching to a bike with a bike cage mount holes.

1. remove screws from holes.

2. place cage on bike.

3. re-insert holes in proper place.
