3D model description

The Curl Paddle Wheel helps demonstrate how the curl of a vector field is a measure of how good the represented forces are at causing rotations. It is also useful in explaining circulation and Stokes' Theorem.

For 20 years I had wanted a model of this after fumbling with whiteboard markers and other random props laying around my classroom. This was one of the earliest items I designed and 3D printed and I have used it every semester since.

Designed in Mathematica.
