Welcome to Morocco!
The original version of this model was created by MiniWorld 3D collaborator Angelo D'Angelo (@johnnytrapano), which included only the pits, and Dany Sánchez updated it adding buildings and other surrounding details, as well as split for multiple color printing.
The Moroccan city of Fès is famous for its traditional tanneries. Within the dense ancient city center, or Medina, right next to the river lies the tanning quarter, which continues a centuries-old tradition using the same processes since Medieval times.
Cow, goat, and even camel hides are soaked in countless stone vessels, where later they are dyed using natural pigments to produce high quality leather (from Wikipedia).
MiniWorld 3D is excited to bring this historical model to life as a homage to all the people of Fès. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture and education!

Awesome model! I 3D printed the model in Vertigo Grey PLA and filled the small pools with epoxy resin afterwards. I'm really happy with the result. :)
