3D model description

A Poor Mans Pole Master. The Pole Master is a rather expensive accessorie to purchase for the Star Adventurer. So with one of these adapters and a webcam you can get essentially the same thing, but for a 1/4 of the price.
I originally designed and built this to help me with a tutorial I'm doing for the Star Adventurer. It works great during the day to help with calibration of the polar scope. Being off the scope you can rotate the mount and see the movement of the polar image inside the scope.
So I thought "I wonder if this will work to do a polar alinement at night?". With the use of the polar illuminator and manually adjusting my webcam setting to the max, it worked. And it works dam good. I can easily and precisely adjust my polar alinement and see it on my laptop.
Assembly:
-Use a 10-32 3/4 Screw with nut to attach the Plate to the Adapter. The nut just drops inside the hole on the bottom of the adapter and can slide & down to a verity of positions. The screw just goes through the plate and the adapter to the nut. If you would rather use a thumbscrew like in the image, then go download my Any Screw Thumb Screw @ https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2551007
-The foam padding and cork on the plate is optional.
-To attach to the Star Adventurer simply bolt it between the mount and dove tail. You may have to hold the dove tail straight or replace the stopper screw that is in the dove tail with a longer one. The stopper screw that prevents the dove tail from rotating and sliding through the saddle will no longer reach.
-The Support piece can be glued on after the adapter is attached to the Star Adventurer. Just add some crazy glue to the support and glue it to the adapter, but press it up tightly to the back of the dove tail.
- Sample video can be seen here: https://youtu.be/hYXc_URvSyU

UPDATE: I just got a right angle eyepiece made by Neewer to use on my Polar scope. I honestly hated every right angle adapter on Thingiverse. The eyepiece would rotate when you rotate the mount. I wanted the right angle eyepiece to stay still when using the mount. I also wanted to still be able to use my setting circles. So I designed a right angle adapter that will attach to this webcam adapter. I works great and the right angle stay stationary as you use your mount. You will need to tap the hole on the bottom with a 3/8 thread and install a 3/8-1/4 metal thread adapter.
