3D model description

Lamp base, based on the nightmare before Christmas.

Shade is a hand made one off creation but could be done with lithopone's. It was done by printing (on paper) images, outlining them with a 3d printing pen and then coating them in tinted epoxy.

Fence was also made by hand using friendly plastic. It could be printed in resin but at the time I did not have a resin printer.

Parts needed and rough assembly instructions:
NOTE: you need some rough knowledge of wiring for this project but it is not that complex make sure to consult the instructions with your components and follow all rules for your area. I am not an electrician and any work with electricity should be done carefully and is done at your own risk.

Approx. 4 inch long threaded lamp pipe/rod with appropriately sized lamp nuts (2) and washers (1)
Standard lamp socket 1.25 inch diameter

Push button singe circuit switch

Lamp cord
Weights for base lots of things work, just think heavy not flammable and small enough to fit in the hollows of the base this one should fit but make sure to measure it properly
https://www.nostalgicbulbs.com/collections/lamp-base-weights/products/lamp-base-weights-2-15-16-inch-diameter
LED bulb (must be LED to reduce heat output and prevent damage to the plastic)
Clip on lamp shade adapter

Print all parts (note I have multiple slices available to fit different bed sizes). I have included the tree sliced for limited support as well as complete. Print the zero finial last after full assembly and shade it selected or made so you can scale him to the right size for your shade. A finial that is too large or too small for your shade will throw off the balance of your lamp (mine was printed at 65%)

Assemble the main lamp
Screw the lamp rod to the socket and test fit it into the lamp. The rounded portion of the socket should fit inside the tree. Check the length of the rod and trim as needed, it should almost touch the table top when the lamp is upright.
Thread a nut and washer on the cord and insert the cord through the lamp rod.
Wire the socket and screw it to the lamp rod.
Use the washer and nut to tighten the lamp rod inside the base. If you have a properly sized lamp weight this would also go on through the wire onto the lamp rod.
Cut the hot side of the wire and wire in the switch
Connect the switch to the lamp base using the included nuts and washers.
Cross your fingers and test it. If it does not work google it.
Add your weights (if not already done
Cover the bottom with cardboard or thin wood and non stick rubber feet to level it.

Melt a nut into the base of the Zero finial. Making sure it is inside and flush and level with the bottom. Put the lamp shade on and screw on the finial

Good luck, if you don't want to do all this work but still want one of these please reach out to subtlyfantastic@gmail.com. Due to the effort involved in assembling this piece the cost will be between 250 and 300 CAD depending on level of finish.

3D printing settings

Best possible setting for your printer for the main lamp. The lamp pictures is printed with PLA then painted and finished.
