3D model description

This is an upgrade pack to my 3D printable adjustable fletching jig designs. Please read the information and instructions about the helical clamp upgrade on my website

NEW! Self-tensioning clamp backplate provided for BETA testing. Some people noted that tolerances were too loose on some printers. This new design has a built-in spring that will allow for different tolerances and removes the need for sanding. Please comment your experiences.

NEW! Choose between the original 6" clamps and now compact 4" clamps all from the same download. Compact clamps now provided for the compact angled fletching jig option.

You get two versions of the self-centring straight, left-wing and right-wing helical clamps: one version with a new offset adjuster that does away with magnets, which I think is way better; and a modified version in the style of the original magnetic clamp if you prefer that method.

(Note the magnetic versions probably will work with other commercial jig, but I haven't tested them to prove it.)

Features included in this release
Two sizes of clamp. Full-size 6" and compact 4" versions.
All clamps with printable scale.
Self-centring clamp design helps you find the 0ΒΊ offset centreline more easily.
A guided offset adjuster uses guide posts to fix movement in only one direction – perpendicular to the arrow shaft.
A new, self-tensioning backplate that allows for different printer tolerances is provided for BETA testing.
Clamps that work with the guided offset adjuster with a thicker, more sturdy inner plate:
- A new version of the basic original clamp with flat plates.
- A straight cut clamp with self-centring blades.
- A left-wing helical clamp (anti-clockwise twist) with self-centring blades.
- A right-wing helical clamp (clockwise twist) with self-centring blades.
Optional clamp that works with the guided offset adjuster:
- A new version of the alternate deep clamp with flat plates.
Optional clamps that work with magnetic offset adjusters with thinner plates:
- A straight cut clamp with self-centring blades.
- A left-wing helical clamp (anti-clockwise twist) with self-centring blades.
- A right-wing helical clamp (clockwise twist) with self-centring blades.

Optional upgrade
These clamps are an optional upgrade intended for use with my 3D printable Adjustable Fletching Jig, which is available in angled, flat or vertical versions. All have the same features; it’s your choice.
