3D model description

I made one of the dogfood can lids only to find that dogfood cans are smaller diameter than catfood cans. This is something I whipped up in Cubify Design. It's not as fancy with the inlaid pattern on top, but it works just fine.

3D printing settings

I printed this with a layer height of 0.3mm and 100% infill. Extruder at 230C and masking tape on the print bed set for 40C. I'm currently printing at 30mm/s, but I think I may be able to go faster now that I've modified my extruder to support the flexible filament between the roller and the hot end. I'm still working on the optimal Slic3r configuration to prevent oozing and the fine 'hairs' that need to be plucked off the print after it's done.
